2015 Reading Challenge (Progress: 31/50)
For Christmas, I got a Kindle (aka a e-reader) and it seems like, since it's easier to find room for it in my bag every morning than for an actual book, I read more books in 3 weeks than in the past three months. So I decided to to a reading challenge for 2015. I am not sure whether I'll be able to read all those different types of books, but I'll try. I want to read new things, things I've never tried before and I guess it's a good opportunity.

I'll be doing this Challenge that was shared on MadmoiZelle (a feminist French webzine that is really amazing) and I'll be updating this list every time I read a book that fit in one of the categories. Even though some of the books can fit in many categories, I choose to have a different book per category, the challenge is greater that way.

  • A book with more than 500 pages: Les 7 roses de Tokyo by Inoue Hisashi

  • A classic romance: La Dame aux camélias by Alexandre Dumas

  • A book that became a movie: I am Number Four by Pittacus Lore

  • A book published this year:

  • A book with a number in the title: The Power of Six by Pittacus Lore

  • A book written by someone under 30: Sales Jeunes by Galaad Moine (it's the book my friend wants to publish and it was really good *_* I seriously hope he'll find a publisher and I can't wait for him to write Volume 2)

  • A book with non-human characters: The Fall of Five by Pittacus Lore

  • A funny book:

  • A book by a femal author: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by JK Rowling

  • A mistery or thriller: Career of Evil by Robert Galbraith

  • A book with a one-word title: Crossed by Ally Condie

  • A book of short-stories:

  • A book set in a different country: The Rise of Nine by Pittacus Lore (I mainly read books written by English-speaking writers, this one is easy because books written in English are not often set in France)

  • A nonfiction book:

  • A popular author's first book: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by JK Rowling

  • A book from an author you love that you haven't read yet: A Place Called Freedom by Ken Follett

  • A book a friend recommended: The Book of Ivy by Amy Engel

  • A Pulitzer-price winning book:

  • A book based on a true story:

  • A book at the bottom of you to-read list: Anne of Avonlea by Lucy Maud Montgomerry

  • A book your mom loves: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by JK Rowling

  • A book that scares you:

  • A book more than 100 years old: Anne of the Island by Lucy Maud Montgomerry

  • A book based entirely on its cover: Blossoms and Shadows by Lian Hearn

  • A book you were supposed to read in school but didn't:

  • A memoir:

  • A book you can finish in a day: Les Malheurs de Sophie by La Comtesse de Ségur

  • A book with antonyms in the title:

  • A book set somewhere you've always wanted to visit: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by JK Rowling

  • A book that came out the year you were born:

  • A book with bad reviews:

  • A trilogy: Chaos Walking by Patrick Ness

  • A book from your childhood: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by JK Rowling

  • A book with a love triangle: Matched by Ally Condie

  • A book set in the future: Reached by Ally Condie

  • A book set in high-school:

  • A book with a color in the title:

  • A book that made you cry: Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery

  • A book with magic: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by JK Rowling

  • A graphic novel:

  • A book by an author you've never read before: The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood

  • A book you own but have never read:

  • A book that takes place in your hometown: La Reine Margot by Alexandre Dumas

  • A book that was originally written in another language: L'incolore Tsukuru Tazaki et ses années de pélerinage by Haruki Murakami

  • A book set during Christmas:

  • A book written by an author with your same initials:

  • A play:

  • A banned book: The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde

  • A book based on or turned into a TV show: The 100 by Kass Morgan

  • A book you started but never finished: Le Comte de Monte-Cristo by Alexandre Dumas

I'll do my best from now on then! What shall I treat myself with at the end of the year if I manage to finish it? Any idea?
